As we have dicussed in the last article, Backgammon is a casino game of ability and good luck. The goal is to move your chips safely around the board to your inner board and at the same time your opposing player shifts their chips toward their inside board in the opposite direction. With competing player pieces heading in opposite directions there is bound to be conflict and the requirement for particular techniques at specific instances. Here are the last 2 Backgammon techniques to round out your game.
The Priming Game Plan
If the goal of the blocking strategy is to slow down the opponent to move their chips, the Priming Game tactic is to absolutely barricade any movement of the opponent by constructing a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The competitor’s chips will either get hit, or result a battered position if he/she ever attempts to leave the wall. The ambush of the prime can be established anywhere between point 2 and point 11 in your board. As soon as you have successfully assembled the prime to block the movement of your competitor, the opponent doesn’t even get a chance to toss the dice, that means you shift your pieces and roll the dice again. You’ll win the game for sure.
The Back Game Strategy
The objectives of the Back Game technique and the Blocking Game plan are similar – to harm your opponent’s positions with hope to better your chances of succeeding, but the Back Game technique utilizes different techniques to do that. The Back Game technique is often employed when you are far behind your competitor. To participate in Backgammon with this plan, you have to hold 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This tactic is more complex than others to use in Backgammon seeing as it requires careful movement of your checkers and how the chips are moved is partly the outcome of the dice toss.
