As we have dicussed in the last article, Backgammon is a casino game of ability and good luck. The aim is to shift your chips safely around the game board to your inner board while at the same time your opponent moves their pieces toward their home board in the opposite direction. With opposing player chips shifting in opposing directions there is going to be conflict and the requirement for particular techniques at specific instances. Here are the two final Backgammon tactics to finish off your game.
The Priming Game Plan
If the goal of the blocking tactic is to hamper the opponents ability to move his chips, the Priming Game plan is to completely barricade any movement of the opposing player by assembling a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The competitor’s chips will either get hit, or end up in a battered position if she ever attempts to escape the wall. The ambush of the prime can be built anywhere between point two and point 11 in your board. As soon as you’ve successfully assembled the prime to stop the activity of the competitor, the opponent does not even get to roll the dice, that means you move your pieces and toss the dice yet again. You will be a winner for sure.
The Back Game Strategy
The objectives of the Back Game technique and the Blocking Game technique are very similar – to harm your competitor’s positions in hope to improve your chances of winning, but the Back Game technique uses alternate tactics to do that. The Back Game tactic is generally utilized when you are far behind your opponent. To participate in Backgammon with this technique, you need to hold two or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This tactic is more challenging than others to employ in Backgammon seeing as it needs careful movement of your pieces and how the chips are relocated is partly the outcome of the dice toss.
