The aim of a Backgammon game is to move your checkers around the Backgammon board and bear those pieces off the board faster than your challenger who works harder to do the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Succeeding in a match in Backgammon requires both strategy and fortune. How far you can move your pieces is left to the numbers from rolling the dice, and how you shift your pieces are decided on by your overall playing plans. Enthusiasts use differing techniques in the different parts of a game depending on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Plan

The goal of the Running Game strategy is to lure all your checkers into your home board and get them off as fast as you can. This strategy focuses on the speed of moving your chips with absolutely no efforts to hit or block your competitor’s chips. The ideal time to employ this technique is when you think you can shift your own pieces a lot faster than your opposing player does: when 1) you have a fewer chips on the board; 2) all your chips have moved beyond your competitor’s pieces; or 3) your opponent does not use the hitting or blocking tactic.

The Blocking Game Strategy

The primary aim of the blocking tactic, by the title, is to block your competitor’s checkers, temporarily, while not fretting about moving your chips rapidly. As soon as you have established the blockade for your competitor’s movement with a few pieces, you can shift your other chips rapidly from the board. You will need to also have a good strategy when to withdraw and shift the chips that you utilized for the blockade. The game gets interesting when the opponent uses the same blocking tactic.
