As we have dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a casino game of talent and pure luck. The goal is to shift your checkers carefully around the game board to your home board while at the same time your opponent shifts their pieces toward their inside board in the opposite direction. With competing player checkers moving in opposite directions there is going to be conflict and the need for specific techniques at specific times. Here are the last 2 Backgammon tactics to finish off your game.

The Priming Game Strategy

If the goal of the blocking tactic is to hamper the opponents ability to shift his pieces, the Priming Game strategy is to absolutely block any activity of the opponent by constructing a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The competitor’s pieces will either get hit, or result a battered position if he ever attempts to leave the wall. The trap of the prime can be established anyplace between point 2 and point eleven in your half of the board. After you have successfully assembled the prime to block the activity of your opponent, your competitor does not even get to roll the dice, that means you move your chips and roll the dice yet again. You’ll win the game for sure.

The Back Game Technique

The objectives of the Back Game tactic and the Blocking Game technique are similar – to hurt your competitor’s positions hoping to improve your chances of succeeding, however the Back Game strategy utilizes seperate tactics to achieve that. The Back Game strategy is commonly used when you’re far behind your competitor. To compete in Backgammon with this tactic, you have to hold 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This technique is more difficult than others to play in Backgammon seeing as it needs careful movement of your checkers and how the pieces are relocated is partially the result of the dice roll.
